The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in collaboration with the North Sumatra Regional Board of JAGATARA, conducted a training on superior plant seedling production for 50 students in Tanjung Selamat Village, Sunggal District, on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Students were trained in seed selection and durian grafting techniques. The program aims to produce up to 10,000 superior seedlings to be planted with local communities to support food security, disaster mitigation, and environmental recovery in North Sumatra.
The Board of Trustees (MWA) of Universitas Sumatera Utara conducted a visit to the Faculty of Forestry to review the accredited Forest Products Technology (THH) Laboratory. The visit aimed to explore the potential development of laboratory services and strengthen the role of academic facilities in supporting education, research, and collaboration at USU.
