The Forest Management Student Association (FORMASA) of the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully organized the GreenShift Forum 2026 seminar, discussing climate change, environmental technology, and sustainable forest management as efforts to enhance students’ knowledge and innovation spirit in forestry studies.

The Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara received a visit from the North Sumatra Environment and Forestry Agency to discuss the development plan for a Biodiversity Park (Taman Kehati) as a sustainable educational and conservation area that supports biodiversity preservation and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Rain Forest Student Organization of the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully organized the National Scholarship Webinar 2026, discussing strategies for obtaining scholarships, academic capacity development, and preparation for national and international scholarship selection processes.

The Faculty of Forestry at USU received an audience visit from Green Justice Indonesia to strengthen collaboration in scientific research and environmental policy advocacy in support of protecting the Leuser Ecosystem Area (LEA). The activity also included the signing of an Implementation Agreement (IA) as a form of strengthened cooperation between the two institutions.
