During its execution, students conveyed various aspirations and issues, which were then gathered and responded to according to their respective fields and authorities. Faculty leadership along with relevant officials provided explanations, responses, and alternative solutions to the matters raised.

During the visit, students received a detailed overview of the Toba Nursery's history and toured key facilities, including the Germination House Area, Shaded House Area, Open Area, Mother Plant House, and Acclimatization House Area. Students also studied various seedling species utilized in the FOLU Net Sink 2030 program and learned about the applications of tissue culture, rooting houses, and production houses.

Through this initiative, tree health identification is expected to serve as a baseline for decision-making regarding campus vegetation management and maintenance. The collaboration between Fahutan USU and the Directorate of Academic Infrastructure Management reflects the importance of cross-unit synergy in creating a safe, comfortable, and sustainable campus environment.

Beyond serving as a means to maintain physical fitness, this healthy walk provided a relaxed interaction space for leadership, faculty, and administrative staff outside their daily work routines. The fellowship built through these simple activities is expected to strengthen inter-employee relationships and foster a positive workplace environment within the Faculty of Forestry, USU.

The establishment of the Student Executive Board (BEM) was discussed to strengthen the student governance system through program coordination, aspiration channeling, and structured advocacy of student interests. The existence of this body is expected to enhance student representation and drive the implementation of effective, sustainable student programs.

The Touch The Grass event featured a Nature Walk exploring the park while observing local ecosystems, a Nature Hunt to identify natural elements, Nature Journaling to document observations, and a Touch The Grass Corner offering a direct sensory connection with nature.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Forestry USU continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing an orderly, comfortable academic environment that supports students' needs. Good services from the beginning of the academic journey are expected to provide new students with a positive experience as they begin their studies.

In this activity, Dr. Anita Zaitunah served as a member of the implementation team responsible for developing a standard methodology to measure the impact of the NISCOPS Program. The survey involved exploring village areas, identifying biodiversity, and examining the potential biodiversity found within the study areas.

Carrying the theme “Youth for Biodiversity Resilience: Young People Taking Action, Natural Wealth Preserved,” the event, held on October 2–3, 2026, served as a platform for learning, capacity building, and idea development for young people to understand forest conservation, biodiversity, forest and land fire prevention and management, and innovation in the forestry sector.

The training was led by Dr. Achmad Siddik Thoha and took place with great enthusiasm, as participants actively engaged in every stage of the activity. Through this training, participants had the opportunity to learn about and develop their skills in using drones as a technology for supporting spatial information collection.
