Congratulations to the lecturers of the USU Faculty of Forestry who received the Satya Lancana Karya Satya award on August 17, 2024.

The event, which lasted for approximately 3 hours, was held at the USU Campus 2 Kwala Bekala Deli Serdang. This activity is one of the routine agendas held before the implementation of simultaneous graduation in the Universitas Sumatera Utara. The theme raised in this graduation was “Contribution of USU Faculty of Forestry Alumni to the Archipelago and Advanced Indonesia,” which presented one of the Faculty of Forestry alumni, Erizar Pasaribu, S.Hut., M.Si, who currently serves as Head of the Forest Planning and Utilization Section of KPH Region I Stabat.

The USU Faculty of Forestry successfully completed a series of Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2024 events with a lot of excitement and unforgettable experiences. The third day of PKKMB was filled with forestry materials, greenhouse tours, games with prizes, and stunning art performances. The chairman of the committee, Adil Ritonga, expressed his appreciation to all parties involved, hoping that the bond between new students and seniors will continue to be closely intertwined.

A look of excitement radiated from the faces of the new students who participated in a series of PKKMB 2024 events. The three-day PKKMB event began with a lively opening ceremony and MURI record-breaking at the Mini Stadium on the USU Padang Bulan Campus, Medan. Just as interesting, a series of entertainment was also featured in this year's PKKMB festivities. After a series of opening events were held, Faculty of Forestry students departed for USU Campus 2 Bekala using the Linus Bus (Lintas USU).

The USU Forestry Rimbapala released the Vertical Rescue School delegates on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the USU Faculty of Forestry, Kwala Bekala Campus. The event, opened by Dr. Tito Sucipto, marked the beginning of training at Scout Village, Sibolangit, North Sumatra, to improve rescue skills in outdoor activities.
