On Friday, August 9, 2024, USU Forestry Rimbapala held a release of Vertical Rescue School delegates at the Faculty of Forestry, USU Campus 2 Kwala Bekala, Deli Serdang. The event was attended and opened by the Head of the USU Undergraduate Program in Forestry, Dr. Tito Sucipto, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU, ASEAN Eng.
The activity, which involved active members of the USU Forestry Rimbapala, began with singing the Indonesia Raya song and Mars Rimbawan, which was then followed by remarks by the Chairman of Rimbapala, Adilvi Oka Arisena Sinabutar. After listening to remarks by the general chairman of Rimbapala, the release event was continued with remarks and direction from the Head of the USU Undergraduate Program in Forestry, Dr. Tito Sucipto. In his remarks, Dr. Tito conveyed several messages and advised the delegates to undergo all the training processes well. After giving speeches and advice and opening the symbolic delegation release ceremony, the delegation release activity ended with a group photo and releasing the delegates to the training location.
This delegation release is the first stage in the Vertical Rescue School activities that will be held at Scout Village, Sibolangit District, North Sumatra. Vertical Rescue School is one of the training activities to add skills and insights related to the field of rescue. The skills obtained are expected to be applied in various outdoor activities that are often carried out in organizations. This activity is also expected to be a provision for establishing a special field of rescue in the organization later.
