The Faculty of Forestry USU has adjusted administrative service working hours as well as 2-credit and 3-credit class schedules during Ramadan 1447 H in accordance with the Rector’s Circular Letter of USU. Members of the academic community are advised to carefully review these changes to ensure academic activities and services continue to run effectively.
BADAK PKL Series at the Faculty of Forestry USU discussed the flow, regulations, and technical implementation of the 2026 Field Work Practice (PKL) with the PKL Chair, the Undergraduate Program in Forestry, and lecturers from Forest Resource Conservation. This activity helped students prepare for PKL in a more structured and thorough manner.
Four students of the Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, earned the title of Best Graduates at the USU Graduation Period II Academic Year 2025/2026. This achievement reflects strong academic dedication and the important role of academic supervisors in guiding students toward outstanding graduation.
BADAK PKL Series is an academic and student discussion forum that focuses on preparation for the 2026 Field Internship Program (PKL). This activity is intended for the Class of 2023 students and those who will be undertaking PKL, to help them clearly and systematically understand the flow, requirements, and technical aspects of PKL implementation.
The ITTO–BRIN General Lecture at the Faculty of Forestry, USU, featured international and national experts to discuss ITTO’s global role in tropical forest sustainability and the application of wood forensics from BRIN. The event concluded with the signing of an MoU to strengthen research and academic collaboration.
The Faculty of Forestry, USU, will hold an ITTO–BRIN General Lecture on February 13, 2026, featuring Dr. Tetra Yanuariadi (ITTO) and Dr. Ratih Damayanti (BRIN). The event will discuss global roles in tropical forest sustainability and innovations in wood forensics.
The KRS Adjustment Period (PKRS) of the Faculty of Forestry, USU, will take place on February 9–13, 2026. Students are advised to ensure that course selection complies with regulations, including specific semester requirements and coordination with Academic Advisors.
The Faculty of Forestry, USU, held a Punggahan event to welcome Ramadan 1447 H, attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, educational staff, and Dharma Wanita. The event featured a religious sermon and a communal meal as a means of strengthening fellowship and spiritual preparation for the holy month.
The Faculty of Forestry, USU, held a Student Creativity Program (PKM) Coaching session on February 9–10, 2026, as an effort to enhance students’ readiness for the national PKM selection. The activity involved faculty leaders, the PKM team, and experienced students to review proposals and share strategies to make them more competitive and increase their chances of securing funding.
The Faculty of Forestry of Universitas Sumatera Utara is organizing Fahutan USU PKM Coaching as a mentoring platform for students in preparing proposals for the Student Creativity Program. The activity will be held on 9–10 February 2026 at the USU Bekala Campus.
