The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), continues to finalize preparations for the 2026 Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) through a preparatory meeting held on Monday, August 10, 2026, in the Faculty of Forestry Meeting Room at USU Bekala Campus 2, Deli Serdang.

The meeting marked the final stage of preparations ahead of the PKKMB series of activities. It was attended by the Chair of the Faculty of Forestry USU PKKMB Committee, Deanova Frestiana Pelawi, S.Hut., M.Sc., faculty leadership represented by Dr. Tito Sucipto and Dr. Anita Zaitunah, as well as lecturers, administrative staff, and student committee members.

During the meeting, the committee thoroughly reviewed and discussed the PKKMB schedule, covering the series of activities, task assignments, technical preparations, and various supporting requirements throughout the event.

The discussion was conducted openly and constructively. Any remaining obstacles or potential challenges were presented clearly and addressed collectively to identify appropriate solutions. This approach was intended to ensure that everyone involved fully understood their respective duties and responsibilities.

The Chair of the Faculty of Forestry USU PKKMB Committee, Deanova Frestiana Pelawi, together with the student committee members, also ensured technical readiness and coordination among the organizing team. Meanwhile, the involvement of lecturers and administrative staff played an important role in supporting the smooth implementation of the entire program.

The meeting took place in a dynamic atmosphere, featuring constructive discussions focused on finding solutions. Various suggestions from the participants served as input for further improvements to ensure that each stage of the program could be carried out in a well-coordinated manner.

These preparations are in line with the Faculty of Forestry USU’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education. Through a well-planned, educational, and inclusive campus orientation program, the faculty seeks to create a supportive learning environment that helps new students adapt and develop both academically and non-academically.

Furthermore, the collaboration among faculty leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, and students in preparing for PKKMB reflects the spirit of SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening cooperation and synergy among various stakeholders in achieving shared objectives.
