After successfully achieving international certification SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the Forest Products Technology Laboratory in April 2024, the USU Faculty of Forestry is now listed as one of the best forestry programs in Indonesia. According to an assessment conducted by the Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2024, USU Forestry is ranked 5th as the best forestry program in Indonesia and 514th in the world.

The World Meteorological Day series includes tree planting, a talk show, and the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS). Additionally, the Climate Change and Disaster Mitigation Study Center of the Faculty of Forestry USU was officially launched.

Congratulations to the Forest Products Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), for successfully obtaining SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation on General Requirements for the Competence of Testing and Calibration Laboratories, issued by the National Accreditation Committee (KAN).
