Students of the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara had the opportunity to learn directly from a practitioner of Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in a Guest Practitioner session discussing the role of communication in supporting the success of social forestry programs.

The Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara continues the Guest Practitioner Program for the Even Semester Academic Year 2025/2026 by inviting a practitioner from the Association of Indonesian Forest Concessionaires (APHI) to discuss industrial plantation forest management in Indonesia.

Three lecturers from the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), have been selected as winners of the Indonesia Collaborative Research Program (RKI) 2026 through strategic research on composite bamboo, disaster mitigation, and mangrove ecosystems, supporting the achievement of the SDGs and sustainable development.
