Collaborating with UiTM, UM, and UPM Kuala Lumpur, USU Develops University Excellence Collaborative Research and Scientific Cluster Development In its implementation, the usu research team collaborated with several partners consisting of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), and UiTM Puncak Alam to establish cooperation and expand the scope of research to be developed. 01 May 2024

Being One of the Best Forestry Programs, USU Forestry Ranked 5th as the Best Forestry Program in Indonesia according to the SIR 2024 Institute After successfully achieving international certification SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for the Forest Products Technology Laboratory in April 2024, the USU Faculty of Forestry is now listed as one of the best forestry programs in Indonesia. According to an assessment conducted by the Scimago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2024, USU Forestry is ranked 5th as the best forestry program in Indonesia and 514th in the world. 29 April 2024

With the Theme of Innovative Maggot, PKM Team from USU Faculty of Forestry Successfully Passed PKM Belmawa Kemendikbudristek Cinta Auliya, a Forestry USU student, successfully passed the PKM selection by Belmawa Kemendikbudristek with her "Maggot Fellas" innovation for organic waste management. 22 April 2024
