Rain Forest Fahutan USU Recruits 54 Candidate Members for Generation XV Over the two-day event, participants engaged in various orientation sessions designed to strengthen critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork capabilities. Alumni shared experiences regarding organizational history, leadership values, and the vital role of students in environmental conservation. Candidates were also introduced to Rain Forest's divisions and presented their innovative ideas during dedicated proposal sessions. 25 October 2026

Dean of Faculty of Forestry USU Inaugurated as Treasurer of ICMI North Sumatra Regional Board (2026–2031) Medan, October 24, 2026 – Prof. Dr. Arida Susilowati, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), was officially inaugurated as Treasurer of the North Sumatra Regional Executive Board of the Association of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) for the 2026–2031 term, opening cross-sectoral collaboration for inclusive development. 24 October 2026

Fahutan USU Strengthens Digital Learning through E-Learning Training for Lecturers Through this training, lecturers are encouraged to optimize the use of digital learning platforms while developing teaching methods relevant to student needs. USU Academic Senate Visits Faculty of Forestry, Discusses Strengthening Academics, Research, and Internationalization One focus of the discussion was the achievement of Average Education Effectiveness (AEE), particularly in the Undergraduate Program, as well as efforts to increase the number of graduates completing their studies on time. RIMBAPALA Faculty of Forestry USU and Relawan Indonesia Distribute Free Masks to the Medan Community Through this action, RIMBAPALA and Relawan Indonesia distributed free masks to help the community protect themselves from smoke exposure while raising awareness about respiratory health. This initiative also represents active student involvement in responding to environmental issues with direct impacts on public well-being. 18 October 2026
