HUMAS FAHUTAN – The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Campus Hiring event in collaboration with PT Fajar Surya Swadaya on March 2–3, 2026. This activity is part of an effort to strengthen connectivity between higher education institutions and the needs of the forestry industry.
The selection process was conducted in two stages, consisting of a written test on the first day and interviews for participants who passed the administrative selection. In the first stage, the company targeted the recruitment of 30 candidates. The recruitment will proceed to a second stage with an additional quota of 30–50 candidates, depending on the company’s operational needs.
All participants who pass the selection process will be placed in the company’s operational areas in East Kalimantan. This program provides opportunities for graduates and prospective graduates to directly enter the industrial plantation forest (HTI) sector through a campus recruitment mechanism.
This activity reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Forestry USU to encouraging graduates’ readiness to enter the workforce while supporting the increased absorption of professional talent in the forestry sector.
