Based on USU Vice Rector I Letter No. 18130/UN5.1.R1/SPB/2024 dated June 7, 2024 regarding the extension of the end of even semester in 2023/2024, the end of the semester, which was previously June 26, 2024, was extended to July 12, 2024.

This year, USU Forestry Study Program lecturers received funding for 13 research grant titles out of 136 research titles throughout USU funded by DRPTM Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, or with a percentage of 9.6%.

Based on the results of the selection of concentration in 2024, we can conclude that the USU Undergraduate Program in Forestry batch 2022 chose the most concentration in Forest Management (MNH), followed by Forest Products Technology (THH), Forest Resources Conservation (KSH), and lastly Forest Cultivation (BDH).

In connection with the implementation of the Final Semester Exam for Even Semester in 2023/2024, starting June 03, 2024, until June 15, 2024, we hereby convey the following matters:

The Master's Program in Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara is accredited as "BAIK" by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT), ranked second in SINTA, and excels in USU’s TALENTA fields: Tropical Science and Medicine, Agroindustry, Local Wisdom, Energy (sustainable), Natural Resources (biodiversity, forest, marine, mining, tourism), Technology (appropriate), and Arts (ethnic), with a specialization in Natural Resources. The program is designed to be a center of excellence in developing tropical forestry sciences and technology in Sumatra.

Prepare to fight for the thesis defense at the end of the semester or 2023/2024. The time is about four weeks away before the study period ends.
