Congratulations to the lecturers of the Forestry Study Program at the USU Faculty of Forestry who are listed as recipients of the 2024 Strategic Research Collaboration Program (Catalyst) Research Grant
Congratulations to the lecturers of the Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, USU, as the recipients of the 2024 Strategic Research Collaboration Program (Katalis) Research Grant, namely:
1. Arif Nuryawan, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D.
Title: Pellets from mangrove tree branches as an environmentally friendly bio-energy alternative and innovative product for communities around mangrove forests: Production method and properties
Partners: Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana and Universitas Tadulako
2. Prof. Mohammad Basyuni, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D.
Title: Environmental stabilization: Strengthening food security in the face of climate change and carbon stock management in mangrove forests in several locations in Indonesia
Partners: Universitas Andalas and Universitas Diponegoro
As additional information, five research titles from the Universitas Sumatera Utara received Research Grants for the Strategic Research Collaboration Program (Katalis) this year. Two of these research titles were from the Faculty of Forestry, which contributed 40% of the total winners. This figure shows that the Faculty of Forestry is the faculty that won the most winners in the entire University this year.
