The Faculty of Forestry of USU presents forestry practitioners through the Practitioner Teaching Program to share real-world experiences related to forestry extension and communication in the field.

The Faculty of Forestry USU’s Practitioner Teaching Program features BRIN researcher Dr. Jajang Sutiawan, who will discuss modern wood technologies such as glulam and cross-laminated timber across four sessions in May 2026.

BADAK PKL Series is an academic and student discussion forum that focuses on preparation for the 2026 Field Internship Program (PKL). This activity is intended for the Class of 2023 students and those who will be undertaking PKL, to help them clearly and systematically understand the flow, requirements, and technical aspects of PKL implementation.

The Briefing for Prospective Graduates of the USU Faculty of Forestry Period I A.Y. 2025/2026 features M. Indra Kurnia, S.Hut., Director of Conservation at YOSL–OIC, discussing the urgency of soft skills for forestry graduates in supporting the achievement of the SDGs. The event took place on 25 November 2025 at Plaza Rimbawan, USU Faculty of Forestry.

BKPSL organized a national webinar titled “Weaving Resilience from Sumatra for the Archipelago,” featuring environmental experts from various universities. The activity discusses strategies for strengthening regional resilience and sustainable environmental development on a national scale.

The Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara will conduct the Final Presentation of the Impact Campus/MBKM for the Odd Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026 on 16 December 2025 as part of the evaluation and final assessment of MBKM participating students by the Recognition Team. This activity aims to ensure that MBKM learning outcomes are achieved optimally and integrated with the study program curriculum.
