The Natural Fibers and Natural Dyes Research Cluster of the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), invites lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and students to participate in the workshop “Beyond the Loom: Innovations in Malay Weaving Tools & the Exploration of Sustainable Natural Fibers”, which will be held on:

The workshop will feature a variety of engaging activities, including introductions to innovations in Malay weaving tools, exploration of Indonesian natural fibers, material innovations derived from orange peel waste, weaving demonstrations and hands-on practice sessions, a mini fashion show featuring natural-fiber woven fabrics, and interactive discussions with invited speakers.

The event is open to the public and free of charge; however, participant capacity is limited.
