HUMAS FAHUTA - Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Arida Susilowati, S.Hut., M.Si., accompanied by the vice deans, visited several classrooms on the first day of the Final Semester Examination (Ujian Akhir Semester/UAS) at the Faculty of Forestry, USU, Bekala Campus, Simalingkar, Deli Serdang, on Monday, June 8, 2026.
The visit was accompanied by Dr. Tito Sucipto, Dr. Luthfi Hakim, and Dr. Anita Zaitunah, the vice deans of the Faculty of Forestry USU. The presence of the faculty leadership in the examination rooms served as a form of support as well as direct supervision of the academic assessment process attended by students.
On the first day of the UAS, Prof. Arida and the faculty leadership visited various classrooms to ensure that the academic assessment process was conducted in an orderly and conducive environment and in accordance with the established regulations.
During the visit, Prof. Arida also delivered messages, advice, and encouragement to students taking the examinations. She also expressed her appreciation and support to the lecturers and administrative staff serving as examination proctors.
The presence of faculty leadership during the examinations served not only as part of the monitoring function but also created opportunities for direct interaction among university leaders, students, lecturers, and administrative staff. The visit reflected the faculty’s attention to the academic process while providing moral support to the entire academic community.
The first day of the UAS was conducted smoothly, orderly, and in a conducive atmosphere. Students took the examinations according to the scheduled timetable, while lecturers and administrative staff carried out their supervisory duties to ensure that the assessment process was conducted objectively and responsibly.
The visit also reflected the Faculty of Forestry USU’s commitment to creating an academic environment that supports students in carrying out their learning and assessment processes optimally. The direct presence of faculty leaders in the classrooms served as one of the efforts to strengthen communication and demonstrate concern for academic developments at the faculty level.
The orderly and conducive implementation of the UAS is part of the effort to ensure that the learning assessment process is conducted with quality. This is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, which emphasizes the importance of providing quality education and supporting effective learning processes.
Through consistent academic supervision, support for the academic community, and the creation of a conducive learning environment, the Faculty of Forestry USU continues to strive to maintain the quality of its educational processes and encourage students to achieve their best academic outcomes as part of its contribution to sustainable educational development.
