The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) welcomed a visit from the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Simalungun, on January 31, 2025, at the USU Bekala Campus to discuss the International Conference 2025 on Bamboo Forestry Resources and Application (IC-BaFoRA), organized by PUI Bambu. The discussion covered the concept, theme, and implementation strategy of the conference, which is expected to serve as a platform for academics and researchers to share innovations and strengthen international collaboration.

FAHUTAN PRThe Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) welcomed Dr. Roeskani Sinaga, S.P., M.P., M.Si., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Simalungun, on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the USU Bekala Campus. The visit aimed to discuss the International Conference 2025 on Bamboo Forestry Resources and Application (IC-BaFoRA), which will be organized by the Center of Excellence for Science and Technology (PUI) Bambu.

The meeting, held at the Faculty of Forestry, USU, was organized by PUI Bambu and attended by faculty leaders and the conference organizing team. During the discussion, both parties explored the event concept, conference theme, and implementation strategies to ensure the successful execution of IC-BaFoRA 2025. Prof. Dr. Ir. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si., IPM., Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, USU, stated that this conference will serve as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share research findings and innovations related to bamboo resources and their applications across various fields.

This collaboration is expected to strengthen academic ties between USU and Universitas Simalungun, while also enhancing scientific contributions to the sustainable management of bamboo resources at the international level.
