The Faculty of Forestry USU held its 2025 Outstanding Student (Mawapres) selection on May 28, 2025. Miduk Sitanggang was named first place and will represent the faculty at the university level.
FACULTY OF FORESTRY PR — The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held its 2025 Outstanding Student (Mawapres) faculty-level selection on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Forestry, USU Kwala Bekala Campus.
This event is part of the faculty’s annual agenda to select the best students to represent the faculty in the university-level competition. The assessment was based on GPA, academic and non-academic achievements, English language proficiency, as well as the quality of scientific papers and presentations.
The panel of judges for this year’s selection consisted of:
Dr. Anita Zaitunah, S.Hut., M.Sc.
Dr. Kansih Sri Hartini, S.Hut., M.P.
Dr. Ir. Tito Sucipto, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng.
After a rigorous selection process, the following students were awarded the titles of Outstanding Students of the USU Faculty of Forestry for 2025:
1st Place: Miduk Sitanggang (221201052)
2nd Place: Oisara Theodorius Lase (221201122)
3rd Place: Cinta Auliya (221201216)
In addition, awards in special categories were also announced:
Best Technology: Afwan Hafizullah (231201003)
Best Presenter: Elisabeth Beatrix Banjarnahor (221201144)
Best Idea: Salomo Bobby Fernando Sihombing (221201009)
The first-place winner will represent the USU Faculty of Forestry in the university-level Outstanding Student selection. It is hoped that this achievement will continue to the national level.
The Faculty of Forestry USU extends its congratulations to all participants and winners. May this achievement serve as a motivation to continue creating meaningful contributions for the environment and the wider community.
