HUMAS FAHUTAN - The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) once again held its Evening Walk on Thursday, 23 July 2026, around the Faculty of Forestry and the USU Arboretum. The activity was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Arida Susilowati, Vice Deans, lecturers, and administrative staff as part of the faculty's ongoing efforts to foster a healthy lifestyle and strengthen relationships among its academic community.

The event began with a leisurely walk through the faculty's lush campus grounds and the USU Arboretum. Throughout the walk, participants enjoyed a warm and friendly atmosphere, engaging in casual conversations, laughter, and meaningful interactions that reflected the strong sense of community within the faculty.

Beyond promoting physical fitness, the activity also served as an informal platform for communication, helping to strengthen collaboration and teamwork among faculty members and staff. The cool afternoon weather and the Arboretum's green surroundings further enhanced the participants' enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Prof. Dr. Arida Susilowati, emphasized that the initiative reflects the faculty's commitment to fostering healthy workplace habits.

"We will continue to hold this walking activity regularly to encourage a healthier lifestyle," said Prof. Arida Susilowati.

By organizing the activity regularly, the Faculty of Forestry aims to cultivate a lasting culture of healthy living, strengthen the spirit of togetherness, and promote harmonious communication among members of the faculty. These efforts are expected to contribute to a productive, collaborative, and supportive working environment for the entire campus community.

This initiative also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting health and well-being, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by strengthening collaboration and a sense of community within the institution.
