The Netherlands-Indonesia collaboration in the Living Lab project at Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang, explores sustainable food systems for food estate development. It engages students from USU and Dutch Applied Sciences University.

The Living Lab project is a prime example of collaboration between the Netherlands and Indonesia, aimed at exploring the capabilities of students from Universitas Sumatera Utara (Faculty of Forestry) and the Dutch University of Applied Sciences. In this project, they worked together on a case study titled "Sustainable Food Systems to Support Business Development in Food Estate Districts in North Sumatra."

The project, conducted from April to June 2023 in Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang, aimed to explore the needs of the region as a contribution to food estate development. Additionally, it provided a platform for students to learn from real business challenges.
