Description
The USU Faculty of Forestry conducted a Living Lab in Humbang Hasundutan as a form of collaboration with The Netherlands Food Partnership, Kriya, and Nuffic Southeast Asia.
The Living Lab is a prime example of collaboration between the Netherlands and Indonesia to explore the capabilities of students at the University of North Sumatra (Faculty of Forestry) and at the Netherlands Applied Sciences University, where they work on case studies together on the topic of "Sustainable Food Systems in Supporting Business Development in Food Estate Districts in North Sumatra." The project, which took place from April to June 2023 in Pantai Labu, Deli Serdang, aims to explore the needs of a region as a contribution to the development of a food estate while providing a platform for students to learn from real business issues.
