Two lecturers from the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), have successfully secured funding under the Equity USU 2025 Community Service Program through the FGD and dissemination schemes, reflecting Fahutan USU’s commitment to environmentally based and sustainable community engagement.

Good news once again comes from the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Fahutan USU). Two Fahutan USU lecturers have successfully obtained funding for Community Service Program proposals under the Equity USU Funding Scheme for the year 2025, through the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Dissemination of Community Service Outcomes schemes.
The funding was granted based on the Decree of the Head of LPPM USU Number 65/UN5.4.11.K/PM.01.02/2026. The funded lecturers and their respective community service project titles are as follows:

Title: Focus Group Discussion on Reducing Plastics in the Environment - Prof. Ir. Rahmawaty, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D., IPU
Title: Dissemination and Focus Group Discussion of Community Service Outcomes in Habeahan Village: Strengthening Capacity and Environmental Sustainability towards an Independent and Productive Village
This achievement demonstrates Fahutan USU’s strong commitment to promoting community service initiatives with direct impact, particularly in strengthening environmental capacity and raising public awareness of sustainability issues.
