The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara hosted Prof. Scott Q. Turn (Hawai‘i Natural Energy Institute, University of Hawai‘i, United States) in a seminar themed “Sustainable Biofuel: Silviculture, Technology and Regulation Perspective.”

FAHUTAN PR – The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a World Top Scientist Seminar, featuring renewable energy expert Prof. Scott Q. Turn from the Hawai‘i Natural Energy Institute, University of Hawai‘i, United States, as the keynote speaker.

 

 

The seminar carried the theme “Sustainable Biofuel: Silviculture, Technology and Regulation Perspective”, and was hosted by Prof. Dr. Arida Susilowati. The discussion focused on sustainable forest management strategies that support the development of biofuels, covering aspects from silviculture and technology to regulatory frameworks.

 

Through this event, the Faculty of Forestry at USU reaffirmed its role as a center for forestry science development, committed to supporting sustainable energy innovation and global education.
