HUMAS FAHUTAN – The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Deanery Farewell and Welcome Ceremony on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Forestry, USU. The event took place in a warm and family-like atmosphere, attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, staff, and members of the academic community of the Faculty of Forestry USU.
The event marked the leadership transition from the 2021–2026 deanery administration to the 2026–2031 administration. On this occasion, the Faculty of Forestry USU expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the 2021–2026 deanery team, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si., IPM. as Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU; Dr. Ir. Alfan Gunawan Ahmad, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni; Dr. Ir. Pindi Patana, S.Hut., M.Sc., IPU. as Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Assets; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Agus Purwoko, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU. as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Information.
The Faculty of Forestry USU also welcomed the new 2026–2031 deanery administration led by Prof. Dr. Arida Susilowati, S.Hut., M.Si., as Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU. Accompanying her were Dr. Ir. Tito Sucipto, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng. as Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs; Dr. Ir. Luthfi Hakim, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng. as Vice Dean for Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Academic Infrastructure; and Dr. Anita Zaitunah, S.Hut., M.Sc. as Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization.
A spirit of hospitality and togetherness was felt throughout the event. Through this occasion, the academic community of the Faculty of Forestry USU expressed hope that the new leadership would lead the faculty toward greater progress, adaptability, and competitiveness at both the national and international levels.
