FORESTRY PR — The Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara, once again achieved remarkable accomplishments at the 2025 USU Award held on Tuesday, 9 December 2025 at the USU Student Center. This year, the Faculty of Forestry successfully received several strategic awards in both faculty and individual categories. These achievements serve as evidence of the faculty’s commitment to strengthening governance, improving academic performance, and fostering sustainable collaboration with various partners.
At the 2025 USU Award, the Faculty of Forestry earned awards for two priority performance indicators, namely:
Priority Performance Indicator 8 – Implementation of Memoranda of Understanding (MoU)
Priority Performance Indicator 9 – Recognized Academic Works
These accomplishments demonstrate the strengthened contribution of the Faculty of Forestry in supporting the acceleration of rectorate performance targets through enhanced collaboration and increasing scholarly recognition.
In addition, the Faculty of Forestry also secured First Place as the Faculty with the Best PDDIKTI Reporting Accuracy within Universitas Sumatera Utara. This award reflects the quality, accuracy, and compliance of academic data with national higher education standards.
Achievements were not limited to the faculty level but extended to program study and individual categories. The Faculty of Forestry was awarded:
First Place – Study Program with the Best Government/NGO Collaboration
Best Researcher in Science and Health, awarded to Prof. Mohammad Basyuni, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D
International Study Alumni Award, awarded to Dott, Mag. Satia Ras, S.Hut., M.Sc
The Dean of the Faculty of Forestry expressed appreciation to all members of the academic community for their hard work and synergy. “These achievements are not only a source of pride but also new motivation to continue improving the faculty’s performance. We are committed to maintaining the quality of education, expanding collaboration, and providing meaningful contributions to the development of forestry science at both national and international levels,” he stated.
The Faculty of Forestry hopes that these awards will inspire all students, lecturers, and educational staff to continue creating impactful work and contributing positively to society and the environment.
