USU Faculty of Forestry Expands Scientific Collaboration Network with UiTM Faculti Sains Gunaan Malaysia

After the signing of the collaboration document, the meeting between the parties continued with discussions related to future collaborations. Some of the collaborations that have been designed include establishing or activating the International Forestry Students Association (IFSA), Double Degree, and creating satellite offices at the Universitas Sumatera Utara and UiTM Malaysia.
To improve quality in various fields, such as research and technology, the USU Faculty of Forestry has collaborated with various domestic and foreign parties. On Friday, June 7, 2024, the USU Faculty of Forestry spread its wings again by collaborating with the Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Faculti Sains Gunaan, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.
The arrival of the Dean of the USU Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si, and his entourage was warmly welcomed by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohd Rozi Ahmad, the Dean of the UiTM Gunaan Science Faculty in Malaysia. This activity was opened with remarks by Prof. Datuk Dr. Shahrin bin Sahib@Sahibuddin, the UiTM Counselor. In his remarks, Prof. Shahrin expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the attendees who had the opportunity to attend this moment.
On this occasion, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si, who was accompanied by the Head of the USU Postgraduate Program in Natural Resources and Environmental Management, Prof. Rahmawaty, S.Hut., M.Si., Ph.D, and the Dean's Expert Staff, Dr. Nelly Anna, S.Hut., M.Si, signed several collaboration documents including MoUs, MoAs, and LoAs between the Faculty of Forestry of the Universitas Sumatera Utara and the Faculti Sains Gunaan UiTM Malaysia. In addition to establishing cooperation with the Universitas Sumatera Utara, on this occasion, UiTM Malaysia also established collaboration with several other universities, including Universitas Majalengka, Universitas Hasanuddin, Universitas Pembangunan Veteran Jawa Timur, and Universitas Brawijaya.
After the signing of the collaboration document, the meeting between the parties continued with discussions related to future collaborations. Some of the collaborations that have been designed include establishing or activating the International Forestry Students Association (IFSA), Double Degree, and creating satellite offices at the Universitas Sumatera Utara and UiTM Malaysia.
Hopefully, this meeting can begin continuous collaboration between the two parties and improve quality in various fields in the future.
