It began with complaints from residents about the lack of street light hamlets that led to crime-prone such as mugging and theft, especially at night, the USU Faculty of Forestry community service team that consists of Afifuddin Dalimunthe, S.P., M.P. dan Dr. Budi Utomo, S.P., M.Si. conducting community service activity. This activity is held at Tuntungan II Village, Pancur Batu Subdistrict, Deli Serdang District.
USU Faculty of Forestry community service team surveys the location and inventorying several street lamps at 4 hamlets in this village, including Hamlet 1, Hamlet 2, Hamlet 3, and Hamlet 4. Furthermore, they prepare the materials and tools that are needed for the street lamps.
On Monday, 18th September 2023, this Faculty of Forestry community service team conducted this activity by installation of street lamps at 4 hamlets in Tuntungan II Village. With Iptek Photocell Electric Switch 220 V 10 A, these street lamps have been implemented. The community warmly welcomes this activity.
