The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Punggahan event at An-Nur Mosque on February 27, 2025, to welcome the holy month of Ramadan. The event began with a recitation of the Quran, followed by a report from the organizing committee chair and speeches from the Head of BKM An-Nur, the Head of STM, and the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU. The highlight of the event was a sermon by Ustadz Afifuddin Dalimunthe, MP., followed by a communal prayer, handshaking, and a shared lunch. Organized by BKM An-Nur, STM Fahutan USU, and Dharma Wanita, the event fostered a sense of togetherness and strengthened the bonds among the academic community of the USU Faculty of Forestry.
FAHUTAN PR – The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Punggahan event at An-Nur Mosque, Faculty of Forestry USU, on Thursday, February 27, 2025, as an expression of gratitude in welcoming the holy month of Ramadan. The event was initiated by BKM An-Nur, STM Fahutan USU, and Dharma Wanita, with support from BKM Baytul Asyjaar.
The event began with a recitation of the Quran, followed by a report from the organizing committee chair, Ahmad Baiquni Rangkuti, S.Hut., M.Si. This was followed by speeches from the Head of BKM An-Nur, Dr. Pindi Patana, S.Hut., M.Sc.; the Head of STM, Dr. Achmad Siddik Thoha, S.Hut., M.Si.; and the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU, Prof. Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si., all of whom emphasized the importance of unity in welcoming this sacred month.
The highlight of the event was a sermon delivered by Ustadz Afifuddin Dalimunthe, M.P., who spoke about faith, togetherness, and social awareness during Ramadan. This was followed by a communal prayer and a handshaking session as a symbol of unity and camaraderie.
The solemn yet lively gathering concluded with a shared lunch, further strengthening the bonds between faculty members, staff, students, and alumni representatives of the USU Faculty of Forestry.
Through this event, the academic community is encouraged to embrace Ramadan with a pure heart and a spirit of blessing.
