HUMAS FAHUTAN – The Master of Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held an evaluation meeting for the Odd Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026, along with preparations for the Even Semester of Academic Year 2025/2026, conducted online via Zoom on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.
This meeting served as an important forum to review academic achievements while formulating strategic steps for future development. Several key agendas were discussed, including the analysis of the Spider Web of Learning Outcomes Achievement (Capaian Pembelajaran Lulusan/CPL), student study period progression, and a review of ASIIN accreditation documents covering requirements, module handbooks, the results of Lecturer Evaluation by Students (EDOM), grade clarification, and efforts to accelerate the study period.
During the discussion, it was reported that lecturers’ EDOM results had reached the four-star category, serving as an indicator of improved teaching quality within the Master of Forestry program at USU. In addition, the meeting addressed the assignment of course lecturers, management of credit loads (SKS), and plans for curriculum strengthening.
As part of the strategic recommendations, the forum emphasized that four new courses had been proposed in the LINKUP system as part of the curriculum revision carried out last October. This initiative is expected to strengthen the selection of research topics and internationally oriented courses in order to enhance the global competitiveness of the Master of Forestry Study Program.
The meeting was attended by the Head of the Master of Forestry Study Program at USU, Dr. Ir. Samsuri, S.Hut., M.Si., IPM., ASEAN Eng., the Secretary of the Master of Forestry Study Program, Dr. Nurdin Sulistiyono, S.Hut., M.Si., and lecturers of the Master of Forestry program. The discussion took place in an active and collaborative atmosphere, reflecting a shared commitment to maintaining academic quality and fostering the development of a study program that is adaptive to both national and international standards.
