SRM University Andhra Pradesh India visited the USU Faculty of Forestry on March 5, 2024.

SRM University Andhra Pradesh India visited the USU Faculty of Forestry on March 5, 2024. The Head of Department of Environmental Science and Engineering, School of Engineering and Sciences, Dr. Rangabhashiyam Selvasembian, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the USU Faculty of Forestry.

 



SRM University is a well-known private university in India that has 9 branches in different locations. SRM University AP opens opportunities for cooperation with the USU Faculty of Forestry in the fields of master and doctoral studies, student exchanges, research and publications, and other relevant cooperation.
Several parties from the Faculty of Forestry were also present to welcome Dr. Rangabhashiyam Selvasembian, namely the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU Dr. Ir. Rudi Hartono, Vice Dean 1 Dr. Ir. Alfan Gunawan Ahmad, Vice Dean 2 Dr. Ir. Pindi Patana, Head of the Forestry Study Program Dr. Ir. Tito Sucipto, Manager of Global Cooperation DIKG USU Dr. Arida Susilowati. Arida Susilowati, Head of Forest Products Technology Lab Dr. Luthfi Hakim, Head of Forest Resources Conservation Lab Ridahati Rambey, M.Si, professors of Faculty of Forestry Prof. Ir. Siti Latifah, Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Apri Heri Iswanto, as well as expert staff of the dean namely Dr. Nelly Anna, Novita Anggraini, M.Sc., and Ahmad Baiquni Rangkuti, M.Si.

 



The USU Faculty of Forestry welcomes this cooperation opportunity and hopes to establish future cooperation that can be carried out and documented in the form of MOA and IA. SEM University AP's Environmental Science and Engineering field of study is in line with the forestry and environmental fields at the USU Faculty of Forestry.
On this occasion, Dr. Rangabhashiyam also explored laboratory facilities at the USU Faculty of Forestry to project research collaboration with several USU Faculty of Forestry lecturers. Based on this visit, in the near future a research proposal will be made related to the utilization of natural waste.
