The first morning assembly under the new leadership of the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara marked a moment to strengthen collaboration, synergy, and a spirit of togetherness among the academic community in supporting sustainable institutional progress.

FAHUTAN PUBLIC RELATIONS — The Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held its first morning assembly under the leadership of the 2026–2031 deanery on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the courtyard of the Faculty of Forestry USU. The event was conducted in an orderly and solemn manner and attended by the entire academic community and educational staff within the Faculty of Forestry USU.

The morning assembly was led by security officer Sudarman, with the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU, Arida Susilowati, serving as the ceremony supervisor. In her address, Prof. Arida emphasized the importance of building a collaborative work culture based on mutual support and solidarity to achieve institutional progress together.

She stated that challenges, work targets, and differences in perspectives are natural within an organization. However, through strong synergy and cooperation, every challenge can be addressed more effectively and efficiently. “Do not hesitate to help one another, provide constructive feedback, respect each other, and support one another. Because when we move forward together, no goal is too high to achieve,” said Prof. Arida in her remarks.

In addition to serving as a moment to strengthen unity within the faculty, the morning assembly also reflected the commitment of the Faculty of Forestry USU to building an inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable institutional governance system. This spirit aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals.

As a closing message, Prof. Arida shared an inspirational quote from Henry Ford: “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success,” as a reminder of the importance of maintaining unity in achieving shared success.

Through this morning assembly, the Faculty of Forestry USU hopes that all members of the academic community will continue to strengthen synergy, enhance the spirit of collaboration, and contribute their best efforts toward the institution’s future progress.
