FAHUTAN PR – The Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held an International Teaching Practitioner session as part of the Forestry Policies and Regulations course.
This public lecture featured an international guest speaker, Ir. Wendy Aritenang, M.Sc., DIC, Ph.D., IPU, from the Centre for Technology and Environment Studies and a member of the Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection (CAEP) – International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In his presentation, he discussed a critical topic titled “The Environment and Climate Change Issues”, focusing on global challenges in environmental management and the impact of climate change on the forestry sector and aviation policies.
The session was moderated by Dr. Anita Zaitunah, S.Hut., M.Sc., a lecturer at the Faculty of Forestry USU, and was attended with great enthusiasm by students and academic staff.
Through this event, the Faculty of Forestry at USU reaffirms its commitment to broadening students’ understanding of global forestry issues while fostering international academic dialogue and collaboration in support of sustainable forestry development.
