There, guests are spoiled with beautiful views of green hills, cool mist, fresh air, and unique local culture. In addition to enjoying the scenery, guests also had the opportunity to harvest bamboo shoots (bamboo shoots that are often processed into vegetables), try various culinary specialties of Simelir, and receive souvenirs in the form of crafts made of bamboo and wood. All guests seemed amazed by the various things they saw while they were there. Not infrequently, they also seemed to capture various moments as beautiful memories while in North Sumatra. Not only the guests, Mr. Purnama the owner of the tourist site, was also very happy when the guests visited the bamboo park that he manages. According to him, the presence of foreign guests along with the USU Forestry is a very special thing for him. Not to forget, Mr. Purnama also captured the moment of togetherness with the guests.

The purpose of the arrival of the four scientists was to explore cooperation with the USU Faculty of Forestry regarding bamboo opportunities with stakeholders. In addition, on this occasion the guests were also given the opportunity to become presenters in the International Guest Lecturer seminar entitled “novasi dan teknologi pemanfaatan dan pengembangan hasil hutan bukan kayu”.
