Happiness radiated from the faces of the prospective graduates of period III FY 2023/2024 who had just attended the Faculty of Forestry's prospective graduates' briefing on May 17, 2024, in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Forestry USU. The debriefing of prospective graduates is a routine pre-graduation event held by the Faculty of Forestry as a forum for appreciation and debriefing of students who will face the world of work in the future.
The briefing of prospective graduates this time raised the theme “Kiprah Sarjana Kehutanan di Birokrasi Pemerintahan” by inviting one of the USU Faculty of Forestry alumni, Budi El Rodo Simanjuntak, S.Hut, as a resource person. On this occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU, Dr. Rudi Hartono, S.Hut., M.Si was also present to welcome and congratulate the prospective graduates. In his remarks, he slipped messages and hopes that the graduates can achieve success and maintain the good name of the alma mater, especially the Faculty of Forestry USU, wherever they are. After being officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Forestry USU, the debriefing event continued with a presentation by the resource person. The prospective graduates who attended looked enthusiastic and were very eager to listen to the material presented by the speakers.
On the sidelines of his presentation, Budi El Rodo, who is one of the alumni of the Faculty of Forestry, expressed his pride in being one of the alumni of the USU Faculty of Forestry. According to him, the opportunity to gain knowledge at the Faculty of Forestry is a very valuable experience and is one of the things that is very grateful for in the process. The debriefing event was also attended by Vice Dean I, Dr. Alfan Gunawan Ahmad, S.Hut., M.Si., Vice Dean III, Prof. Dr. Agus Purwoko, S.Hut., M.Si., Head of the USU Forestry Bachelor Study Program, Dr. Tito Sucipto, S.Hut., M.Si., IPU, ASEAN Eng.., Head of the USU Master of Forestry Study Program, Dr. Samsuri, S.Hut., M.Si., Secretary of the USU S-1 Forestry Study Program, Dr. Evalina Herawati, S.Hut., M.Si., and several Faculty of Forestry lecturers, including Novita Anggraini, S.Hut., M.Sc, Harisyah Manurung, S.Hut., M.Si, and Ridahati Rambey, S.Hut., M.Si. In addition to the lecturers, the Head of the Academic Subdivision of the Faculty of Forestry USU, Sahlel S.Si, was also present to enliven this briefing event.
As in the previous briefing event, after the presentation by the speakers, the event continued with the symbolic giving of sashes to the prospective graduates represented by Dr. Rudi Hartono, Dr. Alfan Gunawan, Dr. Tito Sucipto, and Dr. Evalina Herawati. Certificates were also given to the best graduates on this occasion. In this period, the title of best graduate was held by four prospective graduates namely Zepanya Sihombing, S.Hut, Andryno Lumbangaol, S.Hut, Angelita, S.Hut, and Joshua Purba, S.Hut. After giving certificates to the best graduates, the debriefing event was then closed with a group photo.
