FAHUTAN PR — The Conservation Student Association (HIMAKOVI) of the Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) celebrated its 6th anniversary with a spirit of unity and a vision for sustainable conservation. The event took place on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the USU Kwala Bekala Campus and was attended by HIMAKOVI members and academic advisors.
Dr. Ir. Pindi Patana, S.Hut., M.Sc., IPU., as the advisor of HIMAKOVI, was present to offer guidance and motivation to all members. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of having a long-term vision for conservation. “HIMAKOVI students must start thinking about pioneering conservation-based businesses and establishing collaborations with external partners to grow further,” he advised.
The 6th HIMAKOVI anniversary featured organizational reflections, internal discussions, and concluded with a symbolic tree planting around the campus area as a form of environmental care.
This event served as an important moment to strengthen the solidarity among HIMAKOVI members and reinforce their commitment to real and sustainable natural resource conservation.
