Harisyah Manurung, S.Hut., M.Si. is the third child of four siblings, born on April 9, 1986. She pursued his undergraduate education at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Forestry (S.Hut.). Subsequently, she continued her studies at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) and graduated in 2019 with a Master of Science (M.Si.).

In 2020, she dedicated himself as a Permanent Non-Civil Servant Lecturer at the USU Faculty of Forestry, specializing in Forest Product Technology, particularly Non-Wood Forest Products (HHNK). As of now, she remains actively involved in various research and community service activities.
