Dr. Agr. Faujiah Nurhasanah Ritonga, S.Hut., M.Si., was born on January 19, 1990. She has been a civil servant lecturer in the Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Forestry at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) since 2024. She is an alumna of Forestry at USU, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Forestry in 2012. Currently, she specializes in Forest Plant Genetic Engineering. Driven by a strong interest in learning, she pursued her master's degree in the Tropical Silviculture Study Program, Faculty of Forestry, IPB, with a specialization in Tree Genetics, and graduated in 2016 with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree. From 2017 to 2018, she was awarded the China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarship to study Chinese (Mandarin) at Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China. In 2018, she received another CSC scholarship for her doctoral studies in the Department of Genetics and Tree Breeding, Faculty of Forestry, Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China, and completed her degree in 2022. This woman of Batak descent then continued her Postdoctoral Fellowship program at the Institute of Vegetables, Shandong Academy of Agricultural Science, Jinan, China, from 2022 to 2024. To date, she actively serves as an author and reviewer for reputable national and international journals.
