Dr. Iwan Risnasari, S.Hut., M.Si. from the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully secured the 2026 National Collaborative Community Service Program through an ecoprint technology innovation based on local flora to support sustainable community empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Great news comes from the Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara (Faculty of Forestry Universitas Sumatera Utara). Dr. Iwan Risnasari, S.Hut., M.Si. has been awarded the Community Service Program funded by Non-PNBP USU for the Fiscal Year 2026 under the National Collaborative Community Service scheme.

The program proposed is titled “Transfer of Ecoprint Technology Based on Local Flora for Strengthening Production Capacity and Sustainable Community Entrepreneurship.” This initiative is expected to support the development of community skills while encouraging the creative and sustainable utilization of local plant biodiversity.

This achievement also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 15 (Life on Land), emphasizing sustainable ecosystems and environmentally responsible economic activities.
