Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has once again achieved a notable milestone in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2027. Based on the International Research Network (IRN) indicator, USU ranks 5th among Indonesian universities, with an IRN score of 37.6 and a global ranking of 801+.
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has once again achieved a notable milestone in the QS World University Rankings (WUR) 2027. Based on the International Research Network (IRN) indicator, USU ranks 5th among Indonesian universities, with an IRN score of 37.6 and a global ranking of 801+.
This achievement reflects the increasingly strong research networks and international collaborations developed by USU to support the improvement of higher education quality, the advancement of knowledge, and efforts to address various global challenges.
The strengthening of international research networks is also closely aligned with the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the strengthening of the education and research ecosystem; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through the expansion of international collaboration and cross-institutional partnerships.
As part of the USU academic community, the Faculty of Forestry, USU, welcomes this achievement as motivation to further strengthen research and academic collaboration, expand international networks, and produce forestry research and innovations that generate tangible impacts for communities and the environment.
This commitment also contributes to various sustainable development agendas, including efforts to protect terrestrial ecosystems through SDG 15: Life on Land, while strengthening the contribution of higher education institutions in providing science-based solutions to environmental and development challenges.
