The USU Faculty of Forestry will hold a Non-Graduate Academic Senate Election (PILSABAR) on September 25, 2024. This agenda is carried out simultaneously throughout the USU environment with a fair and transparent election process.
The Academic Senate is a body in charge of developing and formulating academic policies and carrying out supervision. Members of the Academic Senate consist of lecturers within USU, both professors and non professors. Each faculty has three Non-Professors Academic Senate members, with a five-year term. Meanwhile, the number of Academic Senate Professors at USU is around 45 people.
In the near future, precisely on September 25, 2024, the USU Faculty of Forestry will hold a Safe & Blessed Senate Election or PILSABAR. PILSABAR is the election agenda for the Non-Professor Academic Senate of the Faculty of Forestry USU. This Academic Senate election is carried out simultaneously throughout the USU environment, with the election of the Non-Graduate Academic Senate in each faculty, while the election of the Academic Senate of Professors is carried out centrally at USU.
The PILSABAR stage begins with the stipulation of the USU Rector Decree regarding the procedures and procedures for the election of the Academic Senate throughout the USU environment. Furthermore, the Faculty of Forestry formed a Senate Election Committee, and the elected committee chairman was Dr. Ir. Samsuri, S.Hut., M.Si. As the elected chairman of the committee, the man who is familiarly called Pak Sam said that the PILSABAR stage at the Faculty of Forestry USU began with socialization and collection of registration forms. The next stage is for Academic Senate candidates to return the registration form along with complete requirements.
The PILSABAR committee will verify and determine Academic Senate candidates who pass the administrative selection. The Academic Senate candidates determined by the PILSABAR committee will be elected directly, publicly, freely, confidentially, honestly, and fairly by all permanent lecturers of the USU Faculty of Forestry on September 25, 2024.
Based on information from the chairman of the elected committee, around 10 lecturers have contacted the committee to take registration forms. However, the committee will ensure that the lecturer returns the registration form. After that, the forms will be verified and designated as candidates.
