USU secured 2nd place nationally and ranked 143rd globally in the forestry field according to SCImago 2026. This achievement reflects the growing academic quality and research contributions of the Faculty of Forestry, which are increasingly recognized worldwide.

Exciting news comes from Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Based on the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2026 for the forestry field, USU has successfully achieved 2nd place nationally in Indonesia and ranked 143rd globally.
 

This achievement places USU alongside the top universities in Indonesia in the field of forestry, while also demonstrating the continuous growth in the quality of education, research, and academic contributions.
 

The top national position is held by IPB University, followed by USU in second place, then Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and other universities within the national top 10 list.
 

This accomplishment serves as clear evidence of the Faculty of Forestry USU’s commitment to producing high-quality, innovative, and globally competitive graduates.
