Description
All Study Programs at the USU Faculty of Forestry Have Obtained ASIIN International Accreditation
The Faculty of Forestry at USU Makes History!
Based on the results of the assessment and on-site visit by the ASIIN accreditation team, all study programs at the Faculty of Forestry, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU)—including the Master’s Program in Forestry—have officially received international accreditation from ASIIN.
This accreditation is valid for one year and can be extended for up to five years with improvements based on recommendations from the ASIIN Accreditation Committee.
For those unfamiliar, ASIIN (The Accreditation Agency for Study Programmes in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) is a non-profit international accreditation agency based in Germany, established in 1999. It grants accreditation to study programs around the world, particularly in the fields of engineering, informatics, natural sciences, and mathematics.
This achievement also marks the Faculty of Forestry as the first faculty at USU in which all study programs have earned ASIIN accreditation. Moreover, the Master’s Program in Forestry is now the only master’s program at USU to hold international accreditation from ASIIN.
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who contributed—faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and all stakeholders.
