There is exciting news for those of you who take the Anatomy and Wood Identification Course! The USU Faculty of Forestry will hold a Teaching Practitioner session with very interesting topics and certainly deepen your understanding of wood anatomy and identification.

2. Monday, November 18, 2024 (08.00 - 09.40 WIB) : Sapwood and Terrace Wood
3. Monday, November 25, 2024 (08.00 - 09.40 WIB) : Juvenile Wood and Mature Wood

In this session, we will have experienced practitioners who are ready to share knowledge about the basic differences in monocot anatomy, how to distinguish sapwood and heartwood, to the differences in characteristics between juvenile and mature wood. This knowledge is very important for those of you who are interested in wood identification, especially since there will be many introductions to species and characteristics that are often encountered in the field.
